Grade E (SCP18 – 22) £17,891 - £20,456 per annum

Cannock Chase in Staffordshire is an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB), with the majority of its 1,281 ha Site of Special Scientific Interest being a Special Area of Conservation (SAC), and is designated principally for its heathland habitats.  The Cannock Chase SAC Partnership is looking to recruit two individuals who are enthusiastic and highly motivated about conservation and public engagement.  

Due to the scale and distribution of recreation impacts affecting the Cannock Chase SAC, a Partnership was formed in 2010 comprising Local Authorities and advisory bodies such as Natural England, the AONB team and the Forestry Commission. The Cannock Chase Partnership has developed an outline programme of mitigation (Strategic Access Management and Monitoring Measures (SAMMM).  

Cannock Chase SAC Visitor Engagement Officer  

As the Visitor Engagement Officer you will support the Project Officer in delivery of the SAMMM by implementing visitor engagement and management techniques, producing interpretation material and public engagement through a range of techniques including social media / web-based resources.
