Officer.
About
the role:
We are
looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated member of staff to join our team at
the Museum of
Cannock
Chase as our new Collections Officer.
In this
role you will ensure that the museum collections are cared for, stored, and
documented to
Accreditation
standards, whilst ensuring that they are embedded at the heart of the Museum
offer.
You will
support our team in the development of exhibitions and installations ensuring
the continued
development
of access to our collection to maximise the reach and impact of the
Museum.
About
You:
We are
looking for someone who is passionate about maintaining and developing access
to and
engagement
with our museum collections. You will
work with our Museum Team to produce and
support
exhibitions and displays and have the skills required to develop activities
with our Education
and Events
Team.
A knowledge
of collections management databases and best practice in the handling, care and
preservation
of collections is essential as you will be our in-house expert and ‘go to’
member of the
team.
The
successful candidate will hold the relevant qualifications as outlined in the
job description.
